To commemorate the Sixth Anniversary of The Great East Japan Earthquake, we are honored to present a special program on the story of Shiori Konda-Muhammad, who is from Sendai, near the area hit by the tsunami. We are also honored to have Mr. Shinichiro Nakamura, from the Consulate-General of Japan in Chicago, who will also participate in the program.

Shiori Konda-Muhammad grew up in Sendai, Japan, and moved to Minnesota in 1999. When her hometown was hit by the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami, she went back to Japan to support her family, and worked with an American disaster relief group in April, 2011. She currently works as a Registered Nurse, and lives in St. Paul, MN with her husband and two children.
